what can be wrong ???

my fridg is not keeping cold , i have a side by side maytag thats about 13 yrs old i think it came with the house, about 3 or 4 days now its not getting cold enough , the freezer is about
35 to 45 F and the fridg is about 45 F and thats with it being on the coldst it can be . everyone tells me to get rid of it and buy a new one . do you have any ideas . i really cant afford one right now .R.H.
