Can anyone tell me if the Hotpoint Ultima washing machine has a filter? The fabric softener compartment of my machine is always full of water and the remnants of the fabric softener.
All hoses, etc have been checked and are ok, but surely all machines have a filter to enable you to remove build up of hairs, etc in the machine??
the hotpoint model WMA61 is usually really unreliable since of the bad reviews about the filtering system using a good cleaning (unclog) liquid would usualy help to fix this problem

I had the same problem with mine, I found that if you took out the middle bit of the draw it has a sort of hollow tube in it and it was this that was getting blocked, if you just put it under a running tap it should clear it. hope that helps

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, I FOUND THE WATER HOSE (THERE ARE 3 INCOMING TO BACK OF WHITE PLASTIC UNIT) HAD A KINK IN IT. I TWISTED IT AROUND WHICH TOOK OUT THE KINK, AND THUS HELPED THE WATER FLOW. I NOW HAVE VERY LITTLE RESIDUE BUILD UP IN THE SOFTNER COMPARTMENT.

I guess you know now whether there is a filter or not but I took the back off my daughter's machine tonight and cannot find any filter. Very strange as our Bosch w/m has one at the front . There is a hose underneath the drum that feeds to the pump and there is a small cap on this which looks as if it can be removed but i was not risking water all over her floor . Hope this helps
