where can I find a PL1215 power cord for my Rival deep fryer?

I found the same thing at the Canandian website Forum. I am not will to pay $13 in shipping plus $10 for parts so for me, it is time to get a new deep friar.

On Sept 1st 2011, I called 1-800-851-8900 and tried to order the cord# PL1215 also known as 990007900. Was told by the rep that they are out of stock and won't be receiving any more. Did place an order with:

Some additional information regarding purchasing the Proctor/Silex power cord (PL1215) for the Rival deep fryer:

I called this number: 1-800-851-8900
The model number for the cord is: 990007900

The sales person I spoke to said that they were not allowed to sell me a power cord for a Rival product. In order for them to sell me the power cord I needed to provide them with the model number of the Proctor/Silex or Hamilton Beach fryer.

If you run into this problem this model number should get you the right power cord: #35015

Rival doesn't have the cord in stock and cannot tell me where else to get the cord. I also tried to call Procter Silex and they need a model number and serial number to let me know if they have the part. Does anyone have any more suggestions?

I know this is an old thread but it is still very useful for those of us with a Rival deep fryer. Like Stephanie and Claudia posted above, I emailed customer (dot) service at hamilton beach (dot) com (there is a dot in between customer and service!) and wrote "I need a replacement cord for a 35015 Cool-Touch 6-cup deep fryer. It's the kind with the magnetic release. Can you sell me one or tell me where to buy?"
I have a Rival fryer, not a Proctor Silex 35015, but they use the same cord. The PS 35015 is discontinued but parts are still available, at least for now. Anyway, Hamilton Beach sent me an order form in email. The cords are only 2.99 (I ordered 2 to have one for a backup). I ordered on Tues. and received them on Friday! PL1215 in imprinted on the cord, perfect!

Help! I just called Proctor Silex (as mentioned in the above blog) to purchase the Rival PL1215 cord and I was told if I didn't have the model number of the Proctor Silex fryer that uses that cord she will not be able to find it. Does anyone have a model number?

called the real Rival Company @ 1-800-323-9519 and asked for part #PL-1215 cord. They advised total price was $11.90 (includes shipping & handling)....more like it.

My Proctor Silex deep fryer has the same PL1215 plug and I just ordered a replacement for it from them. According to the order form they e-mailed me, the magnetic cord assembly is $2.99 with $5.50 for shipping and handling.
