noisy tumble dryer?

I have a 9 year old zannusi tumbler dryer TD41131 that works
but seems to make intermittent grating scratching noises mainly on start up

I have a ctd00 and its been like that from the start. I have never had a tumble dryer before so didnt send it back as I thought it must be normal. Can hear the thing upstairs.

May be the Bearings have worn out maybe you should get a new dryer
