Mend Hotpoint CTDOO Condenser Tumble

How can I fix my Hotpoint CTDOO condenser tumble dryer?

We purchased a Hotpoint CTDOO just over a year ago. It suddenly stopped working one day, the drum would not turn around and there was a strong burning smell coming from inside. When it is switched off the drum is free turning and there is power being delivered to the unit.

Can anyone please give me a clue about where to start?

hi angie,i guess your drive belt has broken these tend to get jammed & the motor carries on (hence burning smell) an breaks the belt hope this help's
