some virus wrecked content advisor?

Excuse my language, but some b*****d virus writer has ruined content advisor. Under Approved sites, it has put a green check mark next to a blank field - allowing ever site, like a wild card. I've run ad aware, spy bot, and have the newest Peter Norton Anti virus up and running, all updated. But nothing doing. I delete the wild card and it is reinstated when I press the OK button. Anybody know how to beat these b*****ds? They're trying to stick ads in on me, but it takes away the protection of my children, and that makes me mad.

Sincerely, John Johnson, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

Ive been trying to get rid of that space for about a year now. Ive been searching yours and other message boards to find that I was the only one who had it. I first thought someone at work put it on the general computers at my office. We had a tech come, and erase it from the regedit, but the next day it came back. I thought about it, and thought maybe adware wants all websites to open for their ads, soI ran free spyware program, adware program, and ran a virus scan, (not sure if I should metion all of them). Got rid of everything I did not recognize. Then I had a tech take out the space in the registry(since I am not very confident with messing with the regedit). I think, after runing all the clean up programs though, you may be able to erase the space out of the contect advisor and it should be gone forever. Yes!!!
