My dishwasher (Hotpoint dwf70), no matter what program I use comes up demo, How do I get it out of the demo mode, I've looked in the manual, it does not even mention it.

The A and D thing didn't work first time, but I tried a couple more times and eventually I got D OF.

After much frustration...
Yep - holding the display on/off button (A) and the start/reset button (D) for a few seconds and D OF showed in the display and the machine returned to normal.

unplug unit put in back of car/van drive around until you find a skip .this will cure the problem once and for all.

Holding down the on/off button and the cancel button at the same time worked for me. Held it down until it showed a D OF sign and now it works. Jim you are a star :)

Hotpoint informed me to hold the on/off button and cancel at the same time. This did not work until I powered off the dishwasher first.
