my Glow-worm ultimate boiler will not light?

I have the same problem. I had an engineer out yesterday for the yearly cleaning. Up until then it was working perfectly, I didn't switch the heating on until last night and now it's making a ticking noise but the pilot light won't come on. Now there's no heat or hot water on a weekend with a house full of people with stomach flu, just typical!

Anyone have an idea of a quick fix 'til Monday and I can call the engineer back out.. that isn't too technical?

More than likely it is a blocked pilot injector, these seem prone to blocking when they get over 8 years old. The pilot assembly and tube has to be disconnected and the two tiny holes in the pilot injector need to be unblocked with a small peice of wire or needle.

There is a good chance your pilot jet is blocked to check if you get a flame aroung the ingnition point where the spark is for about 10 to 20 secs and the main burner lights then when you remove the flame if the pilot does not stay alight the the piolt jets are blocked hope this helps.

I have the same issue too - The spark comes on and i can see a very tiny blue light but thean thats all - The fan runs but it seems it does not complete - Last time i had this issue the engineer changed the Ignition PCB. I guess I just need to know where to find the PCB so i can change it.
