full water reservatory?

My zanussi condenser TCS 673T is giving me the sign that the water reserver is full when it is not.... I guess it is a memory mechanism in the machine giving the sensor the wrong sign... I canĀ“t find my manual.. so if you please can give me the answer i would apreciate.

Final follow-up: We've used the tumbler quite intensely the last month, with no problems whatsoever.

Part solution, part explanation-follow-up: Took it apart; the float is almost purely mechanical (high water-level lifts flamenco-float, which lifts lever, which is attached to a micro-switch that stop's the tumbler and turns on the "empty-me-lamp". The floater-basin had some lint in it, but only time will show whether it actually cured the problem. Either way one has to unscrew the four screws that keeps the lid on the float-device, and detach the tubes - it's also the only way to be able to remove the pump which is next point-of-failure, but that's no big deal - just remember to take note of the wire-connections (permanent markers come in handy here) and watch out for sharp cabinet-edges. We don't use the drain near the bottom, but once unplugged it's possible to flush some of the lint by pouring water in the basin. - A pipe-cleaner might come in handy ;0).

Part solution, part explanation: Got same problem; pulled of lower right back plastic-cover, which revealed a lever, balancing on red stick. Seems the top of a float. If I gently press the lever down, the dryer works. While I do have a background which let's me know what NOT to touch, fiddling in "innards" carrying potentially lethal voltages is NOT advisable! However, my conclusion is, that the float-mechanism is either worn out or blocked. Next, I'll UNPLUG the POWER CORD, take everything apart, remove the offending part and see if any objects blocks the float/passage of water (lint?). If so, I'll clean it, reassemble the dryer and see what comes next. Otherwise, I'll take the offending part along to my local "appliance-pusher" (wossname in English?) and buy a replacement.
