Mend Lervia 4000 Machine Straight Needle

Lervia 4000 won't zigzag stitch?

My Lervia 4000 sewing machine won't zigzag stitch, it continues to stitch in a straight line. I have tried changing the needle and cleaned the mechanisms etc. Is it a timing issue? If so can someone please advise how to adjust the timing. Thank you
