Mend Oil Boiler Heating

How do i pull the oil through the burner????

we ran out of oil and got more, now it wont work apparently it might be air locked and the oil needs pulled through to the boiler!! how is this done and could i do it???

turn off boiler and undo slightly the flexi- pipe to the burner this will allow the air to escape when clear oil flows tighten and start the boiler
