My LG FC250SW VCR power is showing but it won't turn on-help please?

I have an LG FC250SW VCR. It was turned on and we had a power cut/outage. When power came back on, lines that represent the time came on but nothing else. I can't turn the power on even holding it up to 15 seconds. There is no C Lock or drying buttons or optionbs. I have the remote contral-just don't know what to do to get the power back on the VCR(which I need with my TV as my DVD players runs through the VCR). Can someone help me please?
