Yes, you should've (should "of"?) mentioned all relevant info.

I think you need to tell us what make and model car it is for a start.

"Red light" - Ignition light? flashing. That is not normal and may be some kind of make/model-specific fault indication. I think you need to tell us what make and model car it is.

You could get the engine computer codes read. That, the make model and the fact that there a relights flashing may give some info to start looking around on the web.

You could do worse than find a dedicated forum dealing with your make/model of car (which you should've (not should of) told us up front). Doubly so if its a car beloved of enthusiasts: Golf, Astra, Corsa, etc..

Hi again, I should of also mentioned 3 weeks ago lets a light on for 4 hours and battery was dead, so tried to jumpstart which took sometime to do . each time I started the engine after, it struggled to start and its never failed me in 2 years. Also I took towbar off and isolated each wire, they are wired into rear lights. And also the last time it died I started ignition and red light started flashing really fast with battery and maintenance lights on. What you think?

Possibly failing battery, possibly failed alternator, possibly slipping Alternator belt, possibly loose connection from Alternator.

With the engine running, check the voltage at the battery with a decent meter, should be 14.4 V or thereabouts., which would suggest the alternator is trying to charge it.

You could also check the current drain from the battery when the car is stopped, ignition off and everything switched off. Should only be a few milliamps if there is an alarm fitted; anything more suggests a fault. You'll have to eliminate circuits one at a time maybe by pulling fuses.
