what could be wrong with airbag system on my corsa d ?

I fitted a new passenger seat in my corsa d and the airbag warning light is flashing I had to put the airbag out of the old seat and the seat belt clasp as they were missing off the other seat ive had it plugged into a diagnostic machine but it wouldn't connect to airbag system on the car
