When I try to lock my front doors they appear to lock then unlock,I don't have a fob just keys,the rear doors lock

I would remove the door cards and have a look behind the door handle on these. There is a black plastic escutcheon with an operating lever. The lever has a pin and spring which are bad for seizing and may be causing your problem,pay particular attention to the n/s door which tends not to get used as much, maybe worth a look, good luck.
