Mend Mercedes-Benz Vito 109 Starting Trouble Key

Mercades vito 109 starting trouble?

I have a mercades vito 109 van and when I put the key fob In The barrel nothing happens no lights, no power nothing It also won't lock or unlock any doors even though the battery's are fine? What could be wrong with it and can I get the van started without using the key?

there may be a fuse/fusible link in either of battery cables check with meter or test light from battery connections.
