How to remove the old circotherm element in neff oven?

I am at the stage where I have access to the old circotherm element at the back of my Neff oven. The problem is, having removed the screw on the right side on the circular part of the old element. I then have removed the screw on the main element left side (which has the wires behind). There is what looks like a blank octagon shape below this screw hole and it is holding for some reason the element from bringing the wires at the back through??
