Mend Vauxhall Astra SRI 16v

Alarm issues?

I bought my Vauxhall Astra SRI 16v off the forecourt in 2001 and she has been a dream upto 132,000 miles. Now she seems to be somewhat alarmed.
The strange shrieking noises coming out of her body are annoying my neighbours.
Can anybody help?

Shrieking, or squealing came be a number of things.
Fanbelt, water pump, pulley bearings, alternator etc etc.
If you aren't sure get a mechanic to listen in the engine bay to diagnose for you.
