Bison bede stairlift can't get it back to charging station?

someone unplugged our stairlift and it crapped out about one foot away from the charging station . any suggestions on how to get it back to it? 89 year old stuck upstairs ? plugged it back in after the fact lol so is there a way to get it back on to its charging station ? it's a stairlift that goes around a curve to the second level if that's of any help, lol
