My Ford Transit '54 plate won't lock?

I have a '54 plate van, where all the locks are controlled by the drivers side lock, with only a key, no fob. I accidentally tried to lock it with the back door still open and now it's like the whole lock system is frozen. The key just doesn't do anything, does anyone know how i can reset it?
