Bosch Avantixx 6 Varioperfect stops at 1 minute on wash cycle?

My mother 89 year old has a 2 year old Bosch Avantixx 6 Varioperfect washing machine which when on the wash cycle stops at 1 minute and doesn't move. She has to turn it to the rinse / spin cycle to progress it. What is wrong? Can we put it right.
