g carriage for brother kh965?

Hi I am starting to feel like I have made a dreadful mistake I bought a kg88 / 89 garter carriage for my brother kh965 electronic machine as I read on one website it is compatible but have since read on other sites it isn't please can someone advise me whether they are compatible many thanks, Kat
