How do I change the radiator on a '93 Renault Clio?

I'm trying to change the radiator on a '93 Clio. I've removed the fan and hoses, but can't get the radiator itself out. It appears to be held in place with a bolt either side, but these appear to only be removable from below. The only way I can see to access this is to remove the whole of the front fairing! Please tell me this isn't necessary!
