Thinking ut rgrough, there will be 2 ways to get to an element on most fan ovens
1) From inside the oven
2) from outside, at the rear

2) is unlikely as there should be a load on insulation in the way.
1) is more usual.

Find the make and model of your oven and get the correct element. Looking at the new item should give you a lot of clues as to how it is fixed and how the connections are made.

Give yourself plenty of time to work slowly and methodically

SWITCH OFF THE OVEN AT THE WALL SWITCH AND TRIP THE BREAKER IN THE FUSE BOX AS WELL

You will probably have to investigate taking out the shelves, possibly the supports as well. Make a note on paper of what scerws go where and what bits go where and what way up they are. Do not trust memory

I would guess you will then have to remove the inside back wall of the oven. Look for screws at the corners and possibly along the sides of the back panel.

Carefully remove the back panel, making notes.

You should find the element is just held in place by 2, 3 or 4 screws, probably at one end. Undo these, carefully pull the element away and investigate the connections. these are probably push-ion tags. Make a note of what wired go where and pull them off.

Push the tags onto the new element, "dress" the wires back out of the way, refit and carry on reassembling the oven.

Stop, think and check

Power on

Reset the clock and check any auto oven control is set to "Manual" (I've been caught out by that one)
