Mend Ford 0813 Indicators Not Working

indicators not working?

hi
I have a ford cargo 1990 0813 the hazards work fine but the indicators only sometimes i have replaced the indicator stalk, checked the fuse were we have power also continuity down the cable witch is good. could it be a damaged cable? dose the power go throw the hazard switch to the indicator stalk? as i can not fine any diagrams on the internet
