Why does my strimmer line keep snapping?

As soon as we start it up it automatically breaks.

I had the same problem. The line is old and brittle. Buy a new one, but get the correct type.

Are you sure you have wound it on the reel in the correct direction?Look at the spool and check the orientation ,easy to get wrong.Good luck.
