How can I fix error #01 of my Kenmore Elite sewing machine 19005?

Days ago, my machine beeped randomly and indicated on the lcd display to "raise the presser foot". I'd follow the instruction everytime but today the machine completely froze after that error....I can't sew at all...with or without the foot pedal. I opened the bottom and cleaned the inside as well as the needle plate side area. When I put it back together, now it beeps upon power on of the machine and shows the error "raise the presser foot and needle then turn power on again". I can't do anything now. :(
