vauxhall corsa - cuts out & gets over heated?

Sons car, after 30 mins driving cuts out completely and the temperature gets hot, tried putting in water but not solved problem - Help

Vauxhall Vauxhall Corsa Vehicles, Cars Overheating Temperature Water

Is your car actively leaking coolant? Sounds like your water pump is broken, therefore your engine is not being cooled effectively when it heats up. You can buy a good second hand water pump for £20, so it's just a matter of getting someone to fit it for a reasonable price (ask around first!)
