Mend Ford Focus Weeks Ago Fine

a/c compressor on 56 plate ford focus wont come on ?

Tried ac on my focus a few weeks ago worked fine as I havent used for a while tried it again today and the compressor does not click on at all is there a way I can check why this may be happening or is it a expensive garage job any help will be great many thanks

Probably just needs a re-gas. The gas also lubricates the compressor. If there isn't enough of it in the system the compressor won't run so as to avoid damage.
