Mend Singer 834 Sewing Machine Repair Thread

How can I fix my Singer Stylist free arm Model 834 ?

The thread from the bobbin is not being picked up. I"ve checked to make sure it is threaded correctly and that thread is in bobbin case correctly. I've cleaned out dust and lint, looked through the manual and can't find a hint as to what the problem could be. Any suggestions?

Almost certain to be a mis-thread. Make sure its passing correctly thru th etop tensioner: disengage tensioner, thread up, re-engange tensioner.
Also make absolutely certain th ethread is looped correctly thru the moving hook in theslot above the deedle position.
