I purchased a brother LS 2125 at a yard sale. When I got it home and tried to sew with it, the bobbin housing is not moving. I took the bobbin housing apart and cleaned, but it still does not move when I turn the wheel. I know enough about a sewing machine that to make the bobbin catch the upper thread, the lower thread bobbin needs to move. How can I fix this without going to a repair man?
If you have a timing issue with this machine it really needs to go to a competent engineer as the hook drive system is not the same as other machines. It maybe that the plastic drive cam on the upper shaft or the plastic drive rack are damaged, common fault on these machines. This model retails at £85 putting it in the disposable machine bracket !

Hello Cathy,
If the raceway is not moving round you may have a broken gear, the only way to find out is to get into the bottom of the machine and look under the raceway area, if you have a two piece body machine they are a devil of a job to get apart.
