Mend Dimplex Started Making Noise

I too have a dimplex that has just started making a knocking noise!?

We tried to investigate but found it contains a sealed unit so unable to try much .
We removed the spiral wand that supports the metallic flame shapes and oiled it .
But we found by putting finger pressure on the rubber grommet attached to the motor this stops the knocking noise .
What could be causing this noise , it's so annoying !
Is anyone else suffering ?
