ideal slimline 15 ff?

hi i have a slimline ideal boiler 15ff the fan has been changed and when the cover is fitted the flames start to bounce as if they are being starved of air. when we take it off it lights up and works fine until we replace main cover then the flames start to bounce again after a few seconds.
