How do I fix my Sony Wega KF42SX300U TV?

Hi, WE have a sony Wega KF-42SX300u Tv and we can't get it to work. When we switch it on it just goes to a amber light. No noise or anything. doesn't flash either.
Then when we turn it off it flashes green for a split second then goes red.
