How do I set my Siemens Rev24 into different heating zones?

Hi - I am having a complete nightmare with my central heating control panels, and am unable to activate the seperate zones. Every time I want to put my heating on, I have to do a factory reset. If not, only the heating upstairs will come on. I'm getting to the point where I want to throw the damned things through the window. I have a control panel upstairs, and downstairs. The 'user friendly' guide is anything but. Appreciate any help/advice/tips given. Thanks in advance.
