What makes you think that a thermal fuse has blown?
Are you sure the appliance actually has a thermal fuse?
It will have a thermostat switch to regulate the heat setting but a thermal fuse is unlikely - but what do I know?
Typically when this sort of thing fails it's the heating element that's died and become open circuit.
Small appliances are more and more designed and made to prevent the user getting inside - in the interests of safety. When they fail it's usually throw away time but check your Yellow Pages just in case.
