My 2008 Touran 6 cd/radio has stopped working and seems dead!?

My kids were messing with the radio while I popped to pay for petrol and now its dead and my cds are still in the machine. I have changed the fuse under the bonnet and at the back of the radio unit but still dead. Do you know what may have happened and if it can be repaired?
