Ariston washer dryer model no: awd12 Dryer not drying?

Mine did exactly the same thing. I emptied the filter at the front(found 80p!), removed the pipe at the back of the filter incase something larger had got stuck(found nothing) and I checked the drain hose...nothing again!! It turned out to be the pump. They're supposed to be self-cleaning and mine hadn't been doing it's job. It was filled with craggy slime(2 years worth!) and thus not able to work properly. A new pump was fitted within minutes and now it's working perfectly...cost £50!!

As it seems to be wetter than after the spin, and as long as its hot but wet, then try repositioning your drain hose. The dryer takes in water to help condense the hot air and sometimes it has trouble draining this water.
If you try running it first on dryer with nothing in and can see a small puddle appearing at the back of the drum after about 4-5 mins then that is you problem & will be sorted by trail and error of the drain hose position. Having said all that if its not hot then the thermal fuse is likely to have gone & has to be replaced. Its on the top of the dryer manifold & is a wire in a yellow sheath.

remove the top, look for a thermostat with a button on, push this to reset. try the dryer make sure the fan starts so you have air ciculation over the dryer elements.
