lose of power?

Hi I have a 59 plate ford transit minibus and first thing it takes ages to start and when it dose I take it out to school and it loses power and stalls then restart it it still feels like lose of power and after 20 min it picks up power and runs ok rest the day unless you let the engine cool down then its starts all over again
