Mend AEG 40850 Ago Stopped Lighting

My AEG Favorite 40850 keeps switching off?

A while ago the on/off button stopped lighting up but worked. Now though when I opened it it was full of water at the bottom
.I bailed it out and ran a cleaner thing which worked fine,so I put all my washing up back in and switched it on,but it keeps switching off several times , and seemed to be making a clicking noise near the on/off switch just once though. When I put the dishwasher on it was at night so I assume it switched off and not had a leak.
