transit van cab heater fan not working can you help R 2.5 LWB reg?

The location varies depending on exact year but on yours I believe it should be next to the offside head light, it has 3 wires going to it and will more than likely be rusty and falling to bits.

Is the resistor on the swich, the motor or somwere else?

What happens first of all is the resistor fails which means you will only have speed 3, after a while due to excessive current draw this then melts the multi-pin plug on the back of the fan switch and also the plug.

So you will require a new resistor, 3 speed switch and plug for the back of it.
