EA code on worcester boiler ?

The EA light on boiler keeps flashing and it will not reset itself. The green flame ignition light just does not stay on.
Have tried turning off at mains numerous times but it will not ignite.
Someone said the gas pipes may be too small but I don't see how this would have the boiler turning itself off on a weekly basis. It normally resets but not today.
We do not have any other appliances sharing the supply when it gos off though we have a gas hob.
