Mend Volkera Compact HE Boiler Heating Faulty

Red solid light on volkera compact he. Help?

The boiler decides to work now an then but no good when you want heating or water. It fires up an stays fired for 2 or 3 secs then when it swiches down the gas to a lesser power it turns off!!

Please help I don't know what to do, but if any suggestions I'd like to try fix myself.. If I can
