Mend Vauxhall Zafira Car Gets Hot

why does my car start to smoke when it gets hot ?

i changed the furmastat now when i am driving the car it gets to half way on the gauge and it starts smoking for abit then stops .my car is vauxhall zifira w reg year 2000
