Mend Peugeot 406 Start

why is my 1996 Peugeot 406 making a clicking sound behind the dash?

It happens when I start the car and it continues while the car is on. It makes a clicking/tapping sound. about 5 taps, then stops, then 5 taps etc. It happens consistently like that and if you turns the temp to hot it gets louder. Can any one help please.

that will be your recirculation motor behind the glove box,disconnect if required behind the glovebox via a multi plug but cant remember which plug it is .
