Mend Samsung RSH1JBRS Freezer Fridge Full

how to fix my samsung rsh1jbrs?

The digital display was working as usual but I found that both my freezer and fridge weren't working- loosing a full freezer of food. Had a guy out who said that because both the motor and fan weren't working,( Motor cold to touch and fan could be turned by hand.) it must be the module and told me to order and replace. Has anyone any experience as don't want to shell out for new module if it is a different part/problem.
