Mend GE GSS25JFMBWW Fridge Freezer Cooling

ge fridge freezer side by side model #gss25jfmbww?

recently our fridge or freezer has not been cooling properly there is a small puddle of water on the floor on freezer side seems to be running contstantly i can turn both thermostats up full blast still milk is cool but not cold ice cream is cold but not frozen unit is about 9 years old whats wrong

1 Check if that fan is running in the freezer. you may have to press the light switch in to make it go. 2 then check if there is any ice on the back wall in the freezer compartment about 30-40 cm from the bottom, if so then fridge is not completing it's defrost cycle and the evaporator ( cooling element )will be blocked by ice stopping air flow.
