Mend Heat Surge M-6 Heater Shuts Off

Fan runs 10 seconds then shuts off?

Why does the fan come on for only about 10 seconds and then the heater shuts off and the red light an d beeper goes off? I reset it and it does the same thing. This is on a Heat surge M-6 model.
