Mend Hotpoint VTD00 Tumble Dryer Repair

How can I fix my Hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer VTD00?

Hi, how can i fix the on off switch on my Hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer VTD00. If I push the switch in and hold it the tumble dryer works fine. If i let go it goes off. Any ideas anybody.

More than likely this machine will be using a relay inside that energises when the on/off button is pressed thus connecting other wires via it's contacts. When the coil goes open cct it cannot latch or operate.

A common enough fault with tumble driers.
