Central heating works but no hot water?

Hi offered this info to a lady the other day. Check you header tank, the smaller on in the roof space to make sure it has not dried up with the ball/float valve in the up/off position. If it is then bob it up and down to free it, make sure the tank only part fills not up to the top. You may have to vent the system of air, do all radiators.
